Disappointed
I have been walking down to the Ace Hi Tavern for a little more than 4 years now which is how long I have lived in Golden. The walk to the Tavern is downhill but a nice little uphill for your walk back. Luckily there is a 7-11 at the top of the hill. The Ace Hi was my favorite bar in Colorado until the last time I walked in there. They have removed their old jukebox which was filled with gems, Don Williams to Creedence to Beck, to bad hair metal to Sinatra. Just a random collection of great music or music so bad that it is brilliant. They now have one of those shitty digital jukeboxes where you walk up and have to know exactly what you want to hear because it can access 17 billion songs. The point of the jukebox is that you have a finite number of albums to choose from and you will see songs that you never would have thought about playing but will drop a buck on. It's what builts the character and the look and feel of the bar. I don't want to walk into a totally shit dive bar and hear the ass holes from American Idol blasting out of the jukebox. I'm so turned off by this new jukebox in the Ace Hi that I probably won't ever go back. A true bummer...
